Dreamers

I am not perfect.

There may be plenty of books
I have not read
even more things I have not done.

My smile may not be cute
and the words coming out
of my mouth may not always be pleasant.

I may prefer whiskey to feminine drinks,
have secrets, a dark side.

From time to time
I may be too stubborn, too lazy,
too emotional, too quiet or too loud.

I may not be a great poet,
a canon of beauty,
a role model.

And I may be insane,
I may not be understood,
yet I am not the only one.

I am not perfect,
I am the one your soul is looking for.

Always there
when you need me.
With a glass in my hand,
ready to listen,
ready to talk,
ready to chase the dreams.

Beautiful poem .. Despite critical realism that characterized the poet, but she was able to invest the amazing simplicity through disparate emotions that may be guessed through the possibilities of ideas.
