"dream Vigil"

I lay awake at night waiting for dreams of a different kind
My mind is restless and relentless thinking of you
Who are you and where are you, I wonder and wait
While I lay in the silence I seldom think of myself as alone
Although there is no one else I feel as if you wait for me
Make me whole in my dreams of you, but shall they come true
Before I fall asleep or after I wake I care not which
While I am here alone, I await an exchange of hearts
Two parts to support and steady the shaking trembling rhythms
O four heart beats held apart and strung out by a piece of ribbon
My vigil is for my dream, it’s for you, my love
May we meet and may rest meet me in your arms
