Dream Song Nyc 2019
Walking from the
coffee shop
to
the Rite Aid drugstore
Feeling the weight of the past
on my shoulders
Thinking I'd like to go back
see the people's struggles of long ago
A thosuand times a thousand years will pass
I won't be here
Neither will you
Unless we decide to freeze ourselves
The future will be unknown to us
The music and the madness
of the Lower East Side
will be remembered
for as long as there are those
who deign to listen to the past
