Dream Seeds
Did I dig down
Deep enough
Into my pockets
A poem from the depth
…just crumbs
Did I dig too far?
My fingers wiggles
Through the hole
Apparently there is
More to behold
In the complex maze
Of my brain
Dream seeds woven
By my heavenly father
Does my psyche even know
What I want? Truth told He gives
Us what we do not seek
It is contained in those seeds.
Those ones that have fallen into outer space
You probably thought they belonged to someone else
Like magic beans that jack brought home, a tree appears
There’s so much fruit, your eyes almost hurt, your heart cries
Not from sadness, it’s leaping out of your chest with gladness
You behold the offering with gifts of praise, arms stretched wide
Dreams like fireworks, like cotton candy, like double rainbows
Feeling like a child, who smiles and clicks your heels, and cries
With serendipitous delight. God’s suitcase never empties.
A bluebird flaps his wings, alighting on a peaceful branch, and sings.
