Dream of Dawn Constanza

I close my eyes to remind me,
then time has no meaning at all
whence overwhelmed in nature’s call.

To sense again the wind so free,
hear the groans of majestic bough
gaze the fiery sun on the brow.

Roam the track of ‘Wild flower lea’
Scale upon yon rocky fortress
that towers in splendid sheerness.

Spy wild Rose attuned to the Bee,
in harmony assimilate
in dewy shadows, oscillate.

Gladly would I my youth to see,
from here thousands of miles away
relive my dream of dawn each day.

I close my eyes to remind me
to sense again the wind so free,
roam the track of ‘Wild flower lea.’
Spy wild Rose attuned to the Bee
gladly would I my youth to see!

Harry, Congratulations on your placement in Andrea’s “Can you Constanza? Contest.” There were so many really amazing entries we had a very difficult time deciding. We had to go by who followed the form best, and whose poem was most creative. I spent 4 and half hours going over the poems and Andrea, a lot longer. Thank you so much for your wonderful entry Mahalo, Connie

Harry, how wonderful to finally see who wrote this one! It has a very "classic" feel to it and I imagined it to be written by someone influenced by the classic poets. So glad to see you on my list. Congrats for your win with this gem.

Harry, i love the second line,, time has no meaning at all... how true! how true! I can't explain the feeling of not knowing why time takes change instead of standing still... maybe that is why it is always standing behind us,,, waiting as our youth is stolen so secretly,,, i was 17 last time i checked,,, now, i'm 37,,, love your poem...xox~pd

It's good to dream a little back in time that was. It is the good memories we remember with joy. But we still have time to make new memories do not forget the "child" that we have in us - play a little - smell the flowers - discovering new things. Harry, a very intresant poem - like it a lot. Have a nice afternoon. oxox / / Anne-Lise :)

The fire ants were imported here from another country..My first encounter with them was about 48 years ago since then they have just multiplied..Some people are highly allergic to them..They will kill a new born animal that lays down close to a mound. The government sprayed but it never got rid of them...Sara
