Dream Love

Writing a long, lucid love poem Can be like a sad, sad, country song Singing about loves, lost or forbidden, or loves that did not belong. Well, my love comes on the radio And sings love songs to me. A thousand miles away in Atlanta, He hails as the king of "Crunk n B." His lyrics are his love letters, His interviews our dates. Reading and collecting his magazine articles Keeps me close to my soulmate. I can pretend his words are for me only, And think the radio is like the phone; Act like the many posters on my walls Are the pictures he sends me when he's away and I'm at home. Everytime I go to the store I swear his CDs speak to me And consume all the money in my wallet When they scream, "Buy me, buy me!" A star struck, lovesick teenage girl Is what my mother says this feeling means For Usher is a multi-millionaire superstar And our love is only in my dreams.
