Notes About The Poem

Dream Deeply

When we dream of faraway places and peeps, in leaps of faith, we’d never think of the reality of those who’d scathe—Poetess

                                                  Always darling, is dulling,
                                                                      d
                                                                          r
                                                                     e
                                                                a
                                                                  m d e e p l y

There once was a time I was an Anglophile
Once I wished I were an Hibernophile
                                         I simply cannot relate
to those with a snubbers hate
Here’s to American nostalgia and its style!

Anaya, I had to look up hibernophile....so you have improved my vocabulary. Life is full of contrasts and funny twists. It is fun to look at the good things associated with different places. Smiles!!

Yes, I always say "I wish I were Irish" no longer is it held in my pocket as I no longer adore an English accent as well. Bad breath & foul talk is as cruel as 'always' as some over-use that term, it's dulling. These times are bad enough with Trumps insanity leading us into destruction. Yet, after all we are still the country, the Motherland we love deeply and the American dream comes true. Americans are the warmest and most gracious of them all! I'm well, and hope you are the same, I'm smiling~

I enjoyed reading your creative/wonderful "Dream Deeply" write. There was nothing like the old nostalgia style or old American nostalgia style. With July 4th being 250 years, maybe we will see some of the old days. Have a great day writing away............

Yes, July 4, 2026, will mark the 250th anniversary of the United States' Declaration of Independence. The United States Semiquincentennial, also called the America 250 or Quarter Millennium, commemorates 250 years since the Declaration of Independence was signed in 1776. Thanks Paula, you taught me today! ;)
