Dream

A beautiful dream slowly awakes.
I am here, ready to share where I am.
So long I have hidden behind my mask.
Been an elusive force of nature you see.

But in the still quiet peace I emerge.
Waiting to take you by the hand.
Showing you all the wonders of my heart.
Will you be the one who comprehends?

Never will my eyes harbor such love.
Each gaze will meet you in the dawn.
I am yet but whispering your name.
On my tongue it waits to be set free.

Slowly with anticipation I long for your touch.
Into the beautiful starry night,
You are here in my fleeting sweet dreams.
I awake only to find you have gone.

Feathery reminders caress my cheek.
I hear a faint sound of your harp.
Wishing you were here again.
A beautiful dream dashed into the night.
