DREAD
I
feel
a weight,
a shadow,
expanding within.
It grows in spirals, silent, cold.
Each thought
unfolds,
clawing at
the edges of me.
I am consumed by what is not.
The air
thins. I
cannot run.
The unseen watches.
Its gaze burns deeper than the dark.
