Drawn to war

A traveler am I.
Through the vast emptiness I fly.
.......Time..........
 Has no meaning nor rhyme.
Day and night, one and the same.
Since the sun lost its flame.
My heart beat sounds so loud.
So alone, lost in a cloud.
Civilization, no longer so proud.
A fleeting thought.
For this we fought.
Nowhere left to go.
No one left to know.
What was, is no more.
Mankind lost itself to war.
Like so many lost in the past.
Maybe mankind wasn't meant to last.
Drawn to war.
Peace was left on the floor.
Life was tossed out the door.
Sadly I shake my head.
Third universe I have found dead.
Why do humans act this way.
Together they cannot play.
A lifetime passes so fast.
Thinking maybe I'm the last.
With a tear in my eye.
Onward I fly.
Humanity passes on when I die.
Didn't think they'd let it get this far.
I'm searching for a new star.
Such a shame.
Each other they held to blame.
Everywhere I've been,it's the same.
All they had to do was get along.
Yet to war they were drawn.
 Sad.
Too bad
