Drawn In Sand

how quickly the days of our lives
scamper in their haste
racing in a sprint to scurry
across illusive finish lines

Short, sweet and truthful. I no longer count them days, i try to make them count.

Wonderful, and so true. That is why I think it is important to tell our family and friends we love them. The ones who are close and the ones far away. For we never know when circumstances change. I would feel terrible if I failed to tell folks that they are important to me.

If only we could gather the knowledge to be able to slow time, but that is impossible. You're right about those illusive finish lines. Once one is crossed, there's always another, and we're off. Good verse, Line. Well wishes in the contest.

It's hard to get away from that unless we become a recluse.

So true, even frighteningly so sometimes. As they say: Treat every day as if it is your last! :) gw
