Drawing a Blank

Drawing a blank, now how's that possible Unless you use invisible ink Then what's the purpose if no one can see it Kinda senseless don't ya think However it seems I can kinda remember The comics offered this kit You wrote with a pen containing invisible ink After rubbing it appeared bit by bit Thought the whole thing was simply magic Master spies is what we became Belonging to the army's intelligence corp Sending notes in an espionage game Oh those were fun days of make believe Pretending to be super sleuths Slinking around passing invisible messages Those super fun days of my youth © Jack Ellison 2014

Oh! NO! Dragons' a Spy, Now!... We saw the Maltese Falcon last night! And you wrote this! ARGHHH! Off with the superman cape, and on with Mikes' Fedora hat! Doesn't make a very good spy tho... Too big and bedazzled pink Jammies don't exactly blend in! But I won't tell him if you don't!... LOL... Yawn! Think I'll let him find Grandpa Troll for his morning run, while I take a New Years nap... celebrating having made it here! My resolution was more naps! Bet you couldn't guess!... Happy New Year!

I remember those days myself! We had two different kinds of invisible ink! One you could only reveal with heat, and the other I believe, now I don't remember very good in my older age, I believe you had to use lemon juice to reveal (or was it you wrote with lemon juice?) anyway they were both a lot of fun I just loved writing in secret messages! This is a glorious write my friend! I really enjoyed reading this spectacular poem this morning! What a brilliant piece, Great Work!!
