Draw You Near

I want to draw you near to me, closer than ever before. Deeper than anyone's ever gone, and yet I still want more. While flesh and touch are wondrous things, these are not of which I speak. I want you closer to my soul, not simply pressed against my cheek. I want to know your ins and outs, your highs and yes, your lows. I want to know the whole of you, not just what lies beneath your clothes! I long to know your heart's desire, your hopes and all your dreams. Your sadness, sorrow, and disappointment also, for character builds upon these things. I crave your thoughts on the future, and the knowledge of your past. For what you see with the eyes fades away, but memories will surely last. I want to draw you near to me, closer than ever before. Deeper than anyone's gone, and yet I still want more.
