Notes About The Poem

Down To Sleep

Down to Sleep

Father cups his hand,
I am inside.
He breaths upon me,
anew.

I am comforted.
I am quiet of spirit.
The world is on the outside.
I am safe with Him.

No thought of tomorrow,
no concern for yesterday.
only the ever healing,
and all consuming love
of my Lord...
encompasses my heart.

I pray dear Jesus,
let me stay...
forever!
