Down a Storm Drain Gone Forever

A tornado warning came upon a sunny day
While rushing home I saw a child staring down a storm drain
I stopped and asked what do you see
I see my heart drifting away

I received my boyfriends heart on this Valentines day
As I was walking home the wind blew it away
I ran to catch it and it fell into the rushing water by the curb
I went to grab it but the storm drain took my heart away

Please help me find this heart for without it mine will be broken
I turned my yellow flashing lights on and radioed for help
We removed the drain cover and I climbed into the drain
Praying we could find this little girls heart today

I received a call on the radio about a block away, we found it he said
Well bring it here we haven’t much time the storm is on it's way
As he pulled up in his yellow city truck with yellow lights flashing
A small boy walked over and said:

You have not lost your heart for I am standing right here
This storm drain could never take away our Valentine Love this way
He placed a tiny candy heart into her hand that read
Be Mine,

As tears of joy ran down her face a kiss on his cheek she gave
I will always be your Valentine
