Some call it sticky willy, catch weed, cleavers,  bedstraw, and goosegrass. It is sticky, then gives off thousands of sticy seed which will spread all over your yard, flower beds, or vegetable garden. It is not so easy to get rid of either.

doves eat
sticky willy....
cleavers scattered

Nice Haiku, Sara, not so nice weed. I'm familiar with sticky weed as we call it. Hard to get rid of it once it starts spreading. Have a pleasant weekend, my friend. Bill

Good to know you have experienced it, but apparently you nicked it in the bud thank goodness. Thanks for the kind words and your visit. Sara

Thankfully, such a wretched presence eludes our vicinity. Yet, within our midst reside comparable entities, whose very essence, when stirred by the whims of the wind, morphs into a myriad of needle-like projections, apt to impale all in their path.

Yes, Lasaad, some of nature's plants are very good at getting their seeds for new plants strown about everywhere. Your visits always add a special touch to my page. Sara

I'm glad you don't as well. Great to have a weed free garden be it flowers or herbs. Sara

Fortunately we don't have it here in our area. But we have similar ones whose seeds stick to our clothing like burdock. Sad, doves scatter their seeds.

Valsa, I think around the world there are so many plants that are the same, but always some plants that are different. We also have what we call beggar lice and coca burs plus more kinds, I am sure. The ones with burs are very painful if stepped on or when you try to remove them from pet fur or your clothes. Thanks for you interesting review of my work. Sara

Never seen a Sticky Willy. I've seen doves that dirty my pavement. Enticing haiku.

Victor, If they eat sticky willy seeds, I wonder will cleavers come up on your pavement? Sara
