DON'T YOU BE...
BY MICHELLE MORRIS

Don't you be sitting there, 
In the dark with your pain;
Don't let fear keep you hostage,
Make you think you're alone; insane.

Don't you be lying there,
Afraid of going out;
Into a world that's hostile;
No one to hear your plight.

Don't you be standing there, 
In the corner of the room;
Thinking you're less important, 
Than the ones who act real cool. 

Don't you be walking around, 
With your head filled with doubts;
Insecurities and confusion, 
That are unreal and unfounded.

Don't you be forgetting,
That you are a gift to life;
And only you can be you,
There's no one else as right.

Don't you be withholding,
Your talents and true self;
One day you'll realise your purpose,
And embrace your inner wealth.
