Don'T Tell Me

It's not like I didn't try,
It's not that I don't care,
But when I look your way,
It's hard not to stare,

The only job you have,
Is filling up my heart,
And when you quit on me,
My body can't start,

You tried to warn me,
But I didn't listen,
I should of known,
That something was missing,

In my head it worked,
But it didn't translate,
Just don't tell me,
That this was fate.
