Don'T Quit Your Daydream
My lovely heart held daydream
you’ve been with me so long.
Romantic kiss of passion’s bliss
I build sweet hopes upon.
You’ve kept my wedded dream within
a golden locket safe.
And though it's altered throughout time,
my desire does not abate.
One day I see me “jumping the broom”
hand in hand, attired
in ethnic clothes, with handsome groom,
celebrated and admired.
God spin my heart held daydream
into reality.
So simple, sweet and loving,
I pray it comes to be.
