Don'T Quit Your Daydream

There are altered realities
inside hearts that just want to dream
and I can't blame them nor fault them
since their escapist deflections
are only a result of a topsy-turvy world
gone mad;

Light your imaginary wick and join
the fable world of the beings of delusion
opt for a daydream or two
These are challenging times
and sometimes it can get too much

Go ahead and pluck another plum from your
fantasy tree.
Join our repertoire of fantastical daydreams
it's hard living in a stark world of mainstream events,
come inside our world of make believe

it will bring you great reprieve.

I miss being able to daydream! They were so fantastical that I regret not making them books. Not something I could do anymore, even if I had that time. Hello Vie :)

Dreams can be a refuge like praying, a place to journey when seeking comfort and solace. Excellent write!

Good to daydream. The real world is full of woe.

Someone had once observed “tell me the thoughts you nurture when you are alone and I’ll tell you in which direction you are headed”
