Don'T Judge a Book By It's Cover Day 2 In Hospital

Settled again on my bed I started to look around, another patient talking on her phone was the only sound. I sat and quietly listened and sadly started to learn, this poor frail old lady would soon have money to burn. Just because I’m not sat at home but laid up in a bed, doesn’t mean my house is free for you to have and sell instead. Sat there shockingly horrified I thought how can this possibly be? I tell you my opinion had definitely changed by the time I’d had my tea. I soon started to realise that this woman was not frail at all, by the time her visitors had been and gone she’d driven me up the wall. I noticed another patient and of her I have this to tell, she was oh so sweet and lovely not at all like the other one from hell. She told me her name was Irene and it was day two of her hospital stay, we chatted on our beds for a while then decided to end the tiring day.

I agree with Jan that hospitals are the worst places to get a rest. Now i see the obnoxious woman... some people are very selfish and inconsiderate. Good day Rachel.

thanks njeri, the woman in question was a class act! It was so unfair on the other patients she moaned non-stop. I told her off on the 2nd day and she ended up getting moved. I've uploaded another poem about her called funny side of strokes - I know I shouldn't have laughed. Not one of my best poems but you'll get the picture!

Hospitals are one of the worst places to try and get rest Rachel - what with ward rounds, visitors and being with people like that I bet you were so glad to get home for a real rest. When hubby was in for his cancer surgery they had VERY strict visiting hours - they were more lenient with me as they knew I couldn't go home - they also gave him a private room which was a real blessing:-) you are making remarkable progress with your writing and recovery! Thanks Jan - all i wanted was a rest from the woman's mouth! She complained constantly even when she was eating. I ended up telling her off on the 2nd day i was in the bay. It was appalling the way she talked to the nurses too and they were fantastic and worked so hard.
