Don't go in if you can't get out
Israel was ready to go into Gaza city
Trump stopped them, left Hamas in control
Hamas cracked down without pity
Dissidents vanished into a black hole.
They grabbed Khamis Jwifil, his torture was severe
The claimed he stole during the war
They also made influencers disappear
In the basement under a hospital floor.
Trump told Israel to stop attacking Iran
Iranians arrested tens of thousands after that
Their media called for executions to the last man
If that country is ever free, I'll eat my hat.
Trump captured Maduro, citizens cheered in the streets
But Trump didn't want U.S. boots on the ground
The regime arrested those who cheered its defeat
Lots of suffering expected in that crackdown.
A half-assed operation doesn't have much clout.
If you can't go the distance, you must beware
They'll take revenge when they're free from doubt
and cast a wide net for traitors everywhere
If you can't match means to ends
The regime will string you along
you get out, they murder your friends
The world learns the ending of that song.
You've heard that familiar sound
people willing to see others fight wars.
I sure don't want my boots on the ground
But the point is valid, enemies keep scores.
