The General was and always will be a hero of mine...I remember as soon as he was brought in, EVERYTHING started coming together and everyone followed his orders (What fool wouldn't?) I wish he would run for President...He'd sure get MY vote! Congrats neighbor! - Tim

Actually the inaction for New Orleans occurred because our Democratic Governor Blanco did not want to call on Republican George Bush. Had she picked up the phone and said, "It's all yours" the people would have gotten help sooner. Needless to say Blanco was not re-elected and much harm came to the city than was necessary. So we can't fault the President....as he can't go over a Governor's head...

How well I remember Katrina's wrath. As a former reporter, I laughed very loud when I heard Gen. Honore's statement to them. (Yes, even reporters laugh at themselves. For most of us "Dirty Laundry" was our favorite song.) Excellent limerick, Judy! Write on, Girl! Love, Carolyn
