Notes About The Poem

"

Don'T Forget the Limousine

You've called the Preacher and set the date,
and someone's baking a wedding cake.
Together you went shopping for the ring,
         "Don't forget the Limousine."

The bride's maids and flower girls were chosen by hand,
and your Daddy's hired a wedding band.
He's a handsome man you're a sweet young thing,
            "Don't forget the Limousine."

The bridal shower was best of all,
You and the girls had a ball.
They gave you gifts fit for a Queen,
            "Don't forget the Limousine."

Your Mother asks are you happy dear?
as she brushes away one tiny tear.
You're about to experience your childhood dream,
            "Don't forget the Limousine."

You're at the altar the time has come,
when two are united and become as one.
You pinch yourself it's not a dream,
Thank God and Five Star Limousine.

Thanks Linda, I always like to receive comments on my poetry. But it's a real blessing when two people agree that they like it. Poetry hugs Cal Bambi

Cal, A unique twist on a special occasion. Well-crafted. This could be a popular country song - for sure. - Gail
