Don'T Forget
Don’t Forget
When my journey nears its final stage
And my memory is not clear
Do not fret or ever forget
How much I loved you dear.
I may forget your name or face
And I may say words unkind,
So please forgive me when I do
For my memory has declined.
Still in my heart I feel a tug
of a small boys little hand,
As we sat upon the sunny beach
and made castles in the sand.
And then I hear the giggles
Of three sisters full of energy;
Each one a little different,
but still loved so much by me.
.
Once in a while I get a peek
Of the way things use to be,
And wish that I could turn back time
And remember my family.
Now my journey’s near its final stage
And God say’s it’s time to go.
So please promise me that when I’m gone
You won’t forget I loved you so…
