Don'T Feel Like It

"Don't feel like it" is what i wanna say sometimes
But the words get stuck and I start thinking
What would happen if I really said those words?
I mean, just see the look on that person's face
"Don't feel like taking you to the store
To sit in the car once again forever more
"Don't feel like watching your kids today
Didn't you notice the look on my face?

Stop worrying how people would judge you
If you don't feel like doing it,then be you
All friends like someone that is honest and true
"Don't feel like it" doesn't sound so rude

Hi, Cecilia. Good to hear frm you. This brings back so many memories of the old days when I nver said "don't feel like it"...what a wimp! At my ancient age, though, I really do use the words often. I get some odd looks, but what the hell. Good write...keep 'em comin' Love, daver

A great write, your are right if you don't want to do something then don't always be true to who you are, it is a tiresome game to be someone else and eventually you slip. I enjoyed this! Thanks for commenting on my work, much appreciated.
