Don'T Do It
Don't Do It
As a parent I have caught myself
Many times saying this phrase
My first son's name in Noah
So our favorite kids book had come to be
One titled No No Noah
Then I was like he needs to learn
To use his own mind and learn
From his mistakes to become independent
So I am now gonna take one into these
Don't do it, don't eat that , don't lie
Don't cheat, don't murder, don't envy,
Don't steal, don't drink that, don't eat to much,
Don't watch that, don't commit adultery,
You better not put that fork in the outlet,
You better look both ways before you get run over,
There is an endless chain of do's and don't
My foolish mind can't remember all these
So that I might appear good to man
God gave us laws and rules before Jesus
And even to this day for the ungodly
But those which have been washed clean
These have been written on your hearts and minds
For the divine father leads your path
There will be guilt within to show you
You will see all the evil that tries to pull you back
If you feel it is pulling you out of God's will
Leave it whatever it is to remain in peace and joy
This is the purpose of our heavenly father
For He will mold you into a Child of God
Our earthy father if we have one present
Is to teach how to make it in this world
Unless they have the spirit of God to direct them
May God comfort, guide, and fill you with
His love , peace and joy , And fill you with
The mystery and truth in His word
