Don'T Blame Me

How come I’m the one at fault
Just because I came in late
The lipstick stains were an accident
So don’t act so irate

What you thought you saw just wasn’t true
So don’t be calling me a louse
I was looking for my car keys
I thought I dropped them in her blouse

So don’t act so smart you know it all
You’re the one with the dirty mind
The lady thought she sat in something
I was just checking her behind

I told you I was going out, you knew it
So don’t blame me, the devil made me do it.

This one is really great. I could swear I saw it before but I don't see a comment from me below, so I'll comment now. Excellent humorous writing!

He thinks he's married to Naive Nellie. Oh, yeah, the "devil" makes a fine scapegoat here. Love the humor, Vince, and wish you success in the contest! Hope your son is doing better. Love, Carolyn
