Doing My Part

The sweetest song has yet to be sang
The greatest speech has not been spoken

The loudest noise has not been heard
The highest praise has not been raised

Heaven’s silence! The sounds of nature!
Nothing greater has graced the ears of man

The choicest silver has not been found
The finest of gold has not been dug

The greatest coward was cast from heaven
The bravest heroes are still to come

The purest human has already graced this place
Someday we all shall stand before him face to face

The world is pleading for peace, and longing to be free
Doing what’s important is sometimes hard

It’s getting late, but now is the best time to start
The moment of truth has arrived when we do our part
