Dog Gone, Dog Gone

I’ve looked everywhere for you & still can’t find you. I’ve wandered back & forth, Every side street that looked familiar And those that didn’t. There are a lot of things I can’t do for myself. If I’ve done anything to offend you to deserve Anything like this then I am truly sorry. My worst nightmare come true. I can’t find you anywhere, If I see you again I promise I’ll never leave Your side. I’ll do whatever you say. I now know what it means to be hungry, I’ve tasted thirst & it’s a beverage I’d rather Not taste. I’ve wandered all around & still haven’t seen a trace Of you. If I was too prideful, didn’t fully commit to anything You asked of me. It’s because I didn’t fully understand what you asked of me. I’ll do anything to see your face again. I’ll do anything to be able to call home, home again. I’ve looked everywhere for you & still can’t find you. If you see my face, know I am looking for you
