Hmmmm Don't know why they call it dog days unless it's because anyone who is left out in the weather is being treated like a dog. Which is not right either because my dogs, being my BFF's are in the house with me. Great write that gives the reader pause to think. God Bless, JB

Dog days got their name when the constellation Canis Major (the big dog) became prominent in the night sky with its alpha star Sirius, which is a blue-white giant and the brightest star visible on earth.
