Dog Day Afternoon

Better let sleeping dogs lie Just in case They were to open one eye Stare at my face Not like what they see And take a bite of me

Gooks aren't easy, but you did it well. Good luck in the contest, Carrie. By the way, Hi, I am going to try to start commenting again. I have just been too weepy these past three months…commenting became difficult. I do enjoy reading your wonderful poetry, though. And I appreciate your strengths. Thanks for understanding. God be with you and keep up the excellent writing. Lovingly, Dane Ann

Creative example of Grook. I learned something new today: GROOK :) No, no aftershocks today,. Thanks, God! In "77 after a 7.9 and on the 13th floor there were about two aftershocks almost as strong as the first one. We spent 3 days and nights in a compact car, out of the city of Bucharest about seven of us. I remember I had one water bottle and 3 slices of orange all those days as the authorities began to organize Red Cross thingies...Love, Iolanda
