“Dogs have many lessons to teach to man.”- By Author ************************************************************** Dog Chases Tail Dog chases its tail in a playful dance To catch it once, a forlorn blue moon chance, Yet in joyful spirit, pursues its try Never drops the gauntlet or becomes shy. It twirls, twists and turns to dispel dullness Relieve spells of boredom and dreariness, Often times, to convey its eagerness Or to seek its master`s care and kindness. Quite often, in the chase, it tumbles down, But again, it soon rises with a frown In the proximate surround with delight With its tail glowing with the sparks of light. On goes the hunt with the shine of fervour, With the same glow of ardour and rigour Until it pants, with tail held high with pride To resume afresh when low is the tide. Whether the chase is a familiar quest Or stems from the very depth of its breast Is a dark mystery yet to unveil, But reveals a strong spirit that prevails. Likewise, man oft pursues dreams hard to reach, A dog`s chase of its tail may lessons teach To don oneself garbs of perseverance, To cloak on the mantle of endurance. It teaches man to rise after a fall Ever to keep the spirit strong and tall, However dark, may be one`s present plight To view one`s surround with gleams of delight. It delivers lessons to urge the sky, Seeking the Master`s divine grace up high For His kind considerate attention And to implore His sublime affection.
