Awwn this is so cute and made me wonder if you do have a dog or cat? We dont have dogs in maldives but we do have cats. Cats do keep the house safe from rodents too and can be warm and lovely companions too. My son used to have two cats when he ws little, my sis had about six! Or more! They are adorable and beautiful! Pleasure reading you today! So sad this missed the contest. Sometimes happens to me too . Your dog sounds like the perfect guard! Pleasure reading your poem! Sending you light

This is one of the smallest acrostics I have seen... However you have filled each line with wonderful descriptive poetry..

I am sorry, I missed this contest by posting another acrostic, inadvertently.

Ahh!! Describes most pets to a T. They add so much to a home. The good thing is you can tell them all your secrets, and they won't tell on you. Thanks for sharing. Sara K

What a touching and astute homage to our trusty canine companions, Valsa. The acrostic has a lovely rhythm and conveys the devoted, watchful nature of a dog, who truly is man's strongest friend. I hope you do well in this contest.

Dear Valsa, what a sweet and clever tribute to our loyal four-legged friends! The acrostic flows beautifully and really captures the faithful, protective spirit of a dog—man's best friend in every sense. All the best in the contest...Hugs
