Does It Reach My Eyes
Although I’m smiling does it reach my eyes?
Inside’s a constant, never-ending storm
I can’t keep pretending; tired of the lies
My inner forecast isn’t warm or the norm
There is a tsunami brewing nonstop
I’m looking forward to a huge rainbow
But the dark clouds make my mood drop
I want relief and sad heart turned aglow
The charade has gone on for far too long
My perfect acting skills are falling short
I’m tired of portraying I’m sound and strong
I need an olive branch it is my last resort
My current weather conditions must cease
I want my mind, body, soul; to know peace
