Doctrines And Myths
God resides in the hearts and souls of Man,
He does not reign on any worldly plane.
The existence of God can't be proven,
folks either believe in Him, or they don't.
Scientists who dispute His existence,
concede the possibility of God.
Religion has little to do with God:
and much more to do, with wielding power.
God's presence imbues spiritual peace,
He does not meddle in mortal affairs.
And so, praying won't eradicate wars,
nor save an innocent child from dying.
Humans believe in a Divine being
that's infinitely greater than themselves.
And yet, God only exists through belief;
and thus, He is a part of who we are.
God brings consciousness to humanity,
outside rituals and superstitions.
But religion exploits our fear of Death,
preaching, sinful souls face eternal Hell.
Belief in God restores faith in oneself:
His influence cannot be disputed.
And once you dismiss church doctrine and myths,
allow faith to decide: if He exists.
