Do You See What I See

So I've learned when to keep my mouth shut, it's not an easy thing, I've noticed over the course of time, I've gotten quieter about some things, Sometimes I can't say a word, or reveal just how I feel, And it's this supression that humbly disciplines me, yet convicts me to what's real, I know I've been used and wronged in the past in so many ways, And I may have looked weak to others in my defense, but this is sometimes how God humbles me, As the saying goes, there's always more to it than what meets the eye, It always meets our hearts first and foremost, and I'm more concerned about what's going on inside, I always question my intentions, and take it to the Lord in prayer, If his love moves me in that direction, I'll open up and share, I know that some may refuse to hear, a good response is never guaranteed, But sometimes you have to accept the good with the bad because it's meant to be.
