Do You Know
Does she know? Does she know she holds the key to the best of you? Does she care? Or are you just a possession, a trinket to place inside her secret box? Does she love you? No doubt. An art collector has love for the genius of the artist; a collector of jewels has love for the many facets of their most prized diamond. You are more than just someone's vision splashed on this thing called life. You are more than two pieces of coal randomly rubbed together.
Does she know? Does she know the passion you hold inside? Don't dismiss it; it is golden, worthy to be collected. The way you sense hurt in words read but not spoken. The comfort given by just a glance from across the room. The way you steal the breath from my lungs when you walk by. The way your eyes pierce through my soul while carefully reading my lips.
Does she know? More importantly, do you know?
