Do We Fetch Our Weapons
She walked out of the Aegean Sea with purpose
Not flaunting her power, yet showing it steadily.
The other entities were not sure whether she was Greek or Roman.
In fact, she may have been from another mythology and another universe.
They watched her come, not knowing whether to feel fearful or elated.
Usually generational gene commonality linked them,
However, she was not linking to any.
Do we fetch our weapons? Queried Mars, Roman’s God of War.
Let’s wait, suggested Greek’s Eirene, not understanding or sensing anything.
Thus, they stood together, waiting,
For the storm and fury or for a peaceful union?
Neither knew.
Anticipation great.
Mars sent his sentinel for his sword,
Earning an irritated glance from Eirene, Goddess of Peace.
