Do the Math

Kerry today announced the U.S. intends to provide an additional $30 million in food security and climate resilience efforts across the continent.
While watching CNN, I thought, I must be trippin’.
Is that what I just heard? No, I didn’t?
We send 30 million to help an entire continent.
And, 30 billion to Ukraine for a war they can’t win.
Observing this from the perspective of a Black American.
Just by doing the math, it appears to be color of skin.
To hear this Administration tout what they have done.
Lends credence to the reason I really wrote this poem.
All a person must do is pay attention.
Open their eyes to the condescension.
30 billion goes toward the “Fight for Freedom”.
Whereas, 30 million shows how you don’t need ‘em.
