Do Not Ask Do Not Tell

When love is not asked about
It becomes secret
When marriage is not asked about
It becomes secret
When the envelope arrives for one only
It becomes secret
How absurd to make a policy
To say -- don’t ask
The truth is –
When no one wants to ask
You can’t tell
