Do I Have To Let Go

She walked out with a smile
The very same one that drives him wild
She walked straight into his arms
In that moment pain was gone
And he whispered in her ear

Do I have to let go
For in these arms…. I hold
My life, my all, my everything
The woman of my every dream
Do I have to let go

She asked if they could run away
There’s no doubt they’re both game
It’s just a shame they didn’t see
In their younger years what seems
To have always been meant to be

Do we have to let go
For in these arms…. we hold
Our life, our all, our everything
We should be sharing our rings
Do we have to let go

She walked away, turned… then smiled
All the while he checked her out
They’re both waiting for the day
When it’s their turn to finally make
The love their dreams have always made

Do I have to let go
You’re the greatest pain I’ve ever known
Not a second goes by
That I don’t sit and wonder why
Your only with me in my mind

Why do we have to let…. go
