Divine Justice

I've been villainized
Most of my life
Yet no one talks about
The probable who's or the why's

The truth is something many
Will scuff and deny.
I pray for those who
Against me rise;
With mournful tears I cry,
But one day my Lord will redeem
All this pain I've kept inside.

Sometimes, I wish I were dead
But for some reason he's kept me alive
And for all those who continue to defame me
Know that our heavenly father is merciful
From Him, nothing is concealed and no one can hide.
Through it all he's given me strength
And has never left my side

'Tis true, dear Madelin, God has a purpose for all of us, and a preordained plan for our lives. My father always said to me, "Son", (he often calls me that), "keep your friends closer but your enemies closer" I happen to believe very strongly in this philosophy... A wonderful poetic procalmation of faith, life, and understanding the complexities of both. Well done...

Hi Madelin, I like this line especially "I pray for those who Against me rise;" Your heart, speaks in a way, that gives light to every side in you. You are a strong writer and woman. A wonderful poem... XOX~ Linda

Good way to describe how you are staying strong and alive to face whatever the rest of the world throws at you.
