Notes About The Poem

Divine Flowers

Divine Flowers

In a flower’s velvet petals
There dwells a divine scent and hue
Soon a tiny creature settles
That will help pollinate a few.

We are blossoms of our dear God
Born each in colors of our kin.
It matters not our birth of sod
Neither the colors of our skin.

Dear Connie, You and I seem to think alike, both in your nature poem where the plants are our sisters and brothers and in this poem, as it doesn't matter which skin we're in, only that we offer words of love to all. Congratulations on your win! Love, carolyn

I really agree with you Carolyn. We are all related and I don't find that skin color or class separates us. I wish the world would embrace this fact. Thank you very much. Blessings, Connie
