Divine December
Come! Let's await the savior's arrival!
Let the cold, though wild, be not our rival!
Savior has seen season’s glee, yet trifle!
Let's make him see many a revival!
Not new clothes; we need to wear new selves now,
To renew, doesn't a kite his self plow?
Poor and needy, like flies, here, are many,
Could we not be good patrons for any?
Santa is not Jesus; let's change our view!
Like shepherds heard calls from the angels first,
Poor should have their places on our church pew!
None in our eyes, from now, remain cursed!
