Dividing Lines
All the world in fear
the danger's presence near
the evil that we do
is driven by what ever you
want this world to be
And is it you
or is it me
can you tell me where the dividing lines begin
all the things we've heard
all the pain and love we've shared
still we cannot find
the opposite word
to sin
Who said the cruel should decide
the condition we are in
did they do it all
bringing us to the fall
tragic separation has suddenly taken place
the cosmic kingdom chaperoned to disgrace
their greed and pride
became our way of life
Strategies segregation revealed
these dividing lines
placed all the world in fear
this anthem of our times
the danger's presence always moving near
a hymn to praise the devil
in their figments of design
Angels in the mirror
see the demons stare
only the innocent would believe
in seeing themselves reflected there
the state of perpetually concealed
strategies segregation revealed
can you tell me now
where do these dividing lines begin
By skin color and creed
in wealth and need
poverty is the sickness
on which society feeds
the nations flags
those emblems of our racial
separation
all our lives by a concocted
definition
split apart by the borderline
of a banknotes intervention
it's foreign policy
a tax to pay before the gates of heaven
And is it you
or is it me
is it them
or the fault of we
can you tell me
where the dividing line begins
all the things we've heard
all the pain and love we've shared
still we cannot
find the opposite word
to sin
