Disturbed Notion

Before me I watch this body of water
Rearing upon the rocks it slaughters
So blue
Through its depths
And view
A salty froth lapping the shores
Nature’s allure
So unpredictable
At times so predictable
Ocean fragrance so wet and full
Across my face
I wear a scarf of wool
I am battered with winds so furious
To bring myself too close
For curious am I
Standing on these rocks
So slimy and jagged
For one loss of a step
I shall be dragged
Into the mighty Atlantic
Into the unknown
Never to return home
Below under the whirlpool
Of aimless darkness
Obscured from
Life
