Distorting Destiny

over the many years
my vast collection
of chaos and dysfunction
has rapidly grown
in disproportion
to optimistic
delightful emotion
suddenly enabling the
dramatic distortion
of all love, joy
and sweet devotion
completely transforming
calm into commotion
’til only one hope remains,
my imagination
encouraging the temptation
to attempt to alter
the very composition
of my scripted destiny
with or without
divine permission
despite my many fears

We can always count on our imagination to make the world seem a better place and our destiny a more attractive place to go. Nicely done Christy.
