Distilled

Words offer us distilled emotion.
Many feelings expressed in a poem.
A gift that can work like a potion.

When words are read we don't feel alone.
Verse can transport us through space and time.
Many feelings expressed in a poem.

Memories of flowers or the taste of lime.
A first kiss from many years ago.
Verse can transport us through space and time.

Family and friends and a mistletoe.
The person who took our breath away.
A first kiss from many years ago.

Remembering how we used to play.
Special people who have touched us so.

New possibilities we did not know.
Special people who have touched us so.
Words offer us distilled emotion.
