Dispel the Myth of Darkness

I dispel the myth of darkness...

As I reach for my little torch

the torch light cuts through the dark

...makes me feel so safe and secure...

The window starts a rattling...

as the wind it does its worst...

I reach for my little torch....
the rattling sound of the window

my little torch cannot reverse...

all safely tucked in bed...

Is safe these days the right word?

I dispel the myth of darkness...

...as I reach for my little torch...

I dispel the myth of darkness...

little torch you shine so bright...

I accidently left you on...

your battery went flat in the night...

...Bugger!

...I dispel the myth of darkness...

Ha ha - I've had this experience and then stubbed my toe on the leg of the bed as I've stumbled across the bedroom to get to the bathroom in the night, ha ha. I can understand this. Has anyone ever written "Ode to the Torch?" I think there has been a gap in the market. Well done!!!!!
